Abstract

The present research proposes to establish a way of dialogue of Christianity with the great religions from Pneumatology. The starting point is Sacred Scripture. Biblical witness points to the universal action of the Holy Spirit. He acts beyond the frontiers of Christianity, because “the wind blows wherever it pleases” (Jn 3:8). Then, in the light of the Second Vatican Council, we begin with the dialogue of the Church with the religions promoted by the action of the Holy Spirit. It can be seen, then, the Spirit gives everyone the possibility of associating themselves with the paschal mystery of Christ by a known only mode of God (GS 22). Several documents of the Magisterium of the Church will reinforce this possibility in the Spirit. The Church also recognizes that the Holy Spirit stirs up in the people’s hearts of different races and cultures a diversity of spiritual values. Thus it is possible to perceive the great openness brought about by the Theology of the Spirit for interreligious dialogue.
