Realismo e Reconciliação na Filosofia da História de Hegel

Abstract

German classical philosophy has promoted a ‘historical turn’ of Kant’s transcendental philosophy. One main basis for this movement is Fichte’s theory of history, which was grounded on a priori elements. Accepting Fichte’s understanding of history as the realization process of freedom, Hegel conceived the philosophy of history not as the establishment of laws for history, but as the detection of the thread of reason in the empirical facts. This article tries to show how Hegel, although accepting the massive presence of evil in history, conceives the possibility of a reconciliation with the facts of universal history, understood as the process of the transformation of power into recognition institutions.
