The article approaches the ecological perspective present in Ludwig Feuerbach's thought, especially in relation to the negative approach of Christianity with nature. Feuerbach criticizes Christian theology for considering nature as a mere instrument available to man, since God would have given man the authority to dominate nature. This anthropocentric view contributed to the development of an exploratory and extractive mentality in relation to nature, resulting in significant environmental damage. Feuerbach defends the need for a change in the Christian conception of the relationship with nature, to establish a more balanced and harmonious vision, in which nature is not seen as a mere source of resources for the satisfaction of human needs, but as a fundamental element for the preservation of human life and well-being. In this sense, Feuerbach's thinking can contribute to a critical reflection on the ecological perspectives nowadays, especially in relation to the environmental crisis and discussions about sustainability.
