The research deals with work in the process of psychosocial domination in the period of the civil-military dictatorship from 1969 to 1979. The objective is to explain the worker's experience under psychosocial domination during the period under analysis. What is the structure and how is the domination over the subjects involved in this context organized? How does this domination impact the worker with regard to his psychosocial health, his personal motivations and his ideal of the future, and how are the dimensions of the organization of domination structured? The theoretical reference is Michel Foucault's theory of biopolitics portrayed mainly from the work "The History of Sexuality". Firstly, the period of the 1969-1979 dictatorship is contextualized, the impact of the Institutional Act Nº 5 (AI-5), the public health deficit to guarantee the rights of the worker, as well as the process of changes in the economic and labor organization, in the midst of the country's modernization process, which accompanied the dictatorship period. Afterwards, the role and influence of institutions and organizations in society is described, from the perspective of the psychiatrist Baremblitt, in order to understand how the process of psychosocial domination occurs; entering the process of mystification to the practice of work, in which the subject is constituted, who admits domination as being natural, invariable and desired by him. Finally, the Foucauldian concept of biopolitics is reconstructed, identifying the form and process of domination, relating the traits of biopolitics with the government's actions, decisions and impacts on citizens.
