This review follows the path elaborated by the researcher Giselle Beiguelman in her work “Image Policies: surveillance and resistance in the datasphere”. The objective was, through a critical look, to point out the main aspects outlined in the book, notably the most sensitive themes to criminology, bearing in mind the author's recurrent concern with addressing themes such as control and surveillance. In this sense, Beiguelman exposes her view of the world about technologies from the central element of the image, opening a new policy that modulates lives and produces subjectivities based on this new paradigm. Given the uniqueness of the work, through the interdisciplinary look of the author and the topicality of the discussions highlighted by her, this book proved to be unique to be the object of this analysis, from which it is hoped to contribute to the academic dialogue.
